Critical Thinking Quiz

Fallacies, Biases, and Perception Errors

All fallacies are non sequiturs. “Non sequitur” is Latin for “it does not follow.” You don’t need to remember the many types of fallacies if you’re good at figuring out when a conclusion doesn’t follow from its premise(s).

A cognitive bias is a mistake in reasoning, evaluating, remembering, or other cognitive process, often occurring as a result of holding onto one’s preferences and beliefs regardless of contrary information.

Perception errors occur when we receive sensory information but our brains process it in an incorrect or unusual way.

The quiz is set up to end after 10 questions, but there are nearly 80 questions total. So keep taking it and you’ll get different stuff each time.
